As was brought up at the WV WOA annual meeting on September 25, 2010—by Darrell Pendris of the NWOA—the greater the number of current woodland owner association members that get more actively involved  in their respective associations, such as with attending meetings and educational events, association elections, membership drives, and association business affairs the stronger the association becomes.  When members become more active in their respective WOA’s their knowledge on how to best actively managing their woodland’s, and the stronger their voice in government affairs and decisions that affect them becomes.
